In May 2023, Ubisoft stated that the game will not be present at June’s Summer Game Fest since it was “still in an early stage.”

With the critically praised release of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time for PS2, Xbox, GameCube, and PC in 2003, the series was then revived. This in turn led to the creation of three sequels: Warrior Within in 2004, The Two Thrones in 2005, and The Forgotten Sands in 2010. In 2008, Prince of Persia: The Simple Game was released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
for January 18, 2024, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will be made available for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
