GAME DESCRIPTION

DRAGON EGGS is the fun and addictive new physics puzzle game for iOS.

In the game, you play as Orella, a mother dragon faced with a big challenge: your baby dragon, Oswyn, is just about to hatch and you need to get him to the safety of a new nest.

Flying through a series of twisting and turning caverns, you must keep Oswyn’s egg balanced on your back as you navigate to your new home past a variety of challenges, including exploding plant pods, waterfalls, lava, water geysers and splintering ice shards.

Forty-five puzzles across three unique, richly-detailed worlds keep every moment exciting and engaging. Easy to learn controls mean you’ll instantly be airborne and flying – however, you’ll be rated on how fast you can make it to your destination. Along the way, you can collect gems which will allow Orella to spit fire and negate some of the obstacles you’ll face on your journey.

Finish all the puzzles and you’ll unlock a special playable character which will allow you to complete the levels even faster. And there’s Game Center support for your achievements.

Cherise @ Mom And More – This game is addicting. It is a quick but fun game where you control a dragon with an egg on its back. You have to fly through the levels and catch gems but the challenge is you can’t drop the egg off your back as you fly and you have to complete the level as fast as you can. …The graphics are colorful and the animation is fun!

The premise of “Captain Squiddy’s Jigsaw Quest” is kept simple: in this story-based adventure it is your task to explore three different islands by navigating your ship with the touch of your finger to your desired destination on a map. And although this sounds simple enough, there is more to the adventure than meets your one-eye, because one of the islands is hidden, and unless you discover a treasure map you will fail in locating the last island, and thus come up short in your treasure hunt! With clever strategy and cunning pirate skills, you will quickly learn when and where to visit each island.  As you successfully explore and complete challenges and puzzles throughout your quest you will earn gold, and this form of treasure is your access to progressing deeper into the game: with gold you can visit the store and purchase awesome add-ons to your ship such as a Canon, a book about the world inhabitants, and even a jukebox to get that “Arr, Matey” spirit and party going! Other unique features include a slideshow, and the option to buy new challenges that will allow you to earn even more gold! For the exceptionally good pirates, the game has secret ways to earn gold, but those you need to discover on your own!  The games difficulty can be adjusted at any time allowing anyone of any age to enjoy this visually stunning puzzler. And if free exploration is not for you, the game allows you to navigate your ship through a marked course within a set period of time.
Some of the features in this game require that you have internet access. The game will run fine even without internet access, but some of the extras might not be available.

Cherise @ Mom And More – First off the animation is truly amazing in this game, the colors and items are vibrant and crisp. …My boys (3 and 4) love it and I admit I think it is pretty neat. I think skill wise it is perfect for ages 3 and up, maybe to 7 or 8. It is neat because it is a pirate ship searching for adventure through solving puzzles, following a certain path, and more. …While this game may not be super educational, it does have its problem-solving aspect as well as being fun! Nothing is inappropriate for young kids either!

I love it when I can tilt my iPod Touch to play games and that is exactly what you do in this snowboarding app. … It is so simple, but believe me it gets challanging! … The graphics are nice and not at all cheesy or boring. … I am not sure who like it more than, me or my 3 year old! … I would highly recommend this snowboarding game for anyone, especially since it is only $0.99! I find myself playing this game just to beat my score and master cool tricks!”

Kailani @ An Island Life – … he was very impressed with the cool 3D graphics. The colors were sharp, bright, and very engaging. He really enjoyed the challenging race course and having his character do aerial tricks on the half pipes and ramps. In fact, he had so much fun that it made him want to go back to the mountains….

It is an adorable childrens learning adventure app with awesome graphics that each time you fly Robin over to a target that blinks, it will land on it and then perform an activity, saying “Robin is dancing” or “Robin is nesting.” The game really has a lot of spots featuring various activities”

Gem @ Sage And Savvy – “Star*Burst is really simple to play, but difficult to put down (at least for me it was!). Once I got the hang of how to maneuver the paddle and create patterns (horizontal, vertical, and diagonal) to achieve the highest scores, I kept playing level after level, and before I knew it, I was on Level 11!”

Cherise @ Mama’s Money Savers – “I absolutely love this game! It is so addicting! It is a cross between Tetris and the old-school Nintendo game Arkanoid, and Bejeweled. These colored gems fall and you have to shoot them up and line them up so you can match at least three in a row. Now that may seem easy, but then they start coming faster and the colors stop lining up right and you start to get nervous! It is such an awesome puzzle game and I have tried out quite a few.”

Cherise @ Mama’s Money Savers – Okay first off this game is simple yet I can see the usefulness. I like how you can enter up to four names (so I could do Aidan’s first, middle, and last name or each of our first names). I do think though it is a challenge that when he sees the names on the first page (see first screenshot above) then he has to remember the spelling because when he goes to the next page he has to spell it. ….. This App would probably be helpful for kids learning to spell, as you could really put in spelling lists in four words at a time. It is not just for names, but really any words. The animal cracker jar is neat too as you earn them for correct spellings and each time one gets added. You can shake the jar to move them around or simply count them or just check out the different animals! Overall, I thought this App was cute ….. I can definitely see the possibilities with this App!

Jennifer @ The Dirty Shirt – I love this app for two reasons, one it is fun for my daughter to play, even though she doesn’t know how to spell her name yet. And two, well let me just say that she now knows how to spell the first 5 letters of her name and she can identify what those letters are. ….. I am thoroughly impressed with what she has accomplished with the My Name app and am loving that she is learning something that will stay with her the rest of her life! I HIGHLY recommend everyone get this app and help your child learn how to spell their name today, it is a great educational spelling app.

Two of our members had the opportunity to review this game and here’s what they thought.

Gem @ Sage And Savvy – his favorite was Tickles–he loved tickling the lion on his ears or his toes, and wherever else he was told! ….. He also really enjoyed the Puzzle, and he loved singing along to the Song itself!…. I thought the colorful animal cracker rewards for completing the games were a cute touch, and it was a lot of fun shaking up the jar! ….. Overall I thought this was quite an entertaining app and liked how it was actually 4 mini-games in one …..

Cherise @ Mama’s Money Savers – I think the App is cute, especially since my son doesn’t talk but he is learning the song by touching the corresponding body parts. He also learned this song is school about a month ago, so that helps too. ….. Aidan is still playing with it and he will even put down my iPod to point on his body the different body parts, so I like how he is comprehending the lion and his body parts. The game also does have a few different ways to play which is nice. I think my favorite is “Tickles” because when you tickle the lion you hear kids laughing, which in turn makes us laugh! ….. Overall, I would recommend this app for any aged child as it is cute and super easy to use and navigate.
