Today Capcom announced the complete list of Versus Modes for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.

Players will be able to experience online 4 vs. 4 team battles playing as either a member of the Umbrella Security Service (USS) or US Spec Ops. Check out all the details on the modes below and visit the press site to download the brand new gameplay trailer.

Take on the role of the bad guys with USS members Vector, Beltway, Lupo, Four-Eyes, Spectre or Bertha. Alternatively play as the good guys and experience the horrors of Raccoon City as Tweed, Dee-ay, Harley, Willow, Shona or Party Girl, members of the US Spec Ops that we revealed earlier this week in the Triple Impact trailer. Meet the US Spec Ops characters in person by downloading their new character art on the press site. Breaking the conventions of traditional third person shooters, players will not only have to compete against their team’s opposing squad but tackle a third unpredictable force as zombies and B.O.W.s add to the mix.

In Team Deathmatch, battle for the most kills in brutal triple threat chaos that leaves players never knowing what’s behind them, an element that could only exist in the twisted Resident Evil universe. Ensure that samples of the G-virus are returned safely to their base in Biohazard mode while fighting off all the competing forces at play in Raccoon City. Try to survive the horror just a little bit longer while waiting for rescue in Survivors mode. There’s limited space on board a helicopter so fight off the opposition and survive the hordes of hungry zombies, risking infection if they get too close. Try to make it out of Raccoon City alive!

Of course there’s also the previously announced Heroes Mode which allows fans to play as one of their favorite Resident Evil characters, including Leon S. Kennedy, Hunk or Jill Valentine.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City will be available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 20 in North America.

Capcom today shared new information and assets regarding the innovative GEM system in the upcoming Street Fighter X Tekken game for PS3, Xbox 360, Vita and PC. A brand new feature that combines customization with strategy, the GEMs add an extra level of depth and provide a pioneering way to experience fighting games.

A total of 57 GEMs (5 Assist and 52 Boost) come standard in Street Fighter X Tekken. Players have the ability to equip three different GEMs that improve upon weaknesses or capitalize on strengths to enhance their inherent play style. The two types of GEMs, Assist and Boost, each have specific advantages and disadvantages.

Players can select any combination of the Assist GEMs, which provide helpful bonuses that are always activated but balanced by handicaps in other areas. Conversely, Boost GEMs provide a stat increase in one of five areas (attack, defense, speed, cross gauge, vitality) but require a specific condition to be met in order to be activated. As an example, a particular speed Boost GEM will be activated automatically after a player blocks 2-3 stringed attacks from their opponent. As GEMs are assigned prior to a match, the activation conditions for the Boost GEMs are hidden from opponents, promoting an element of surprise that requires players to think and act quickly.

Additional details on the GEM system, including a near-final list of the standard GEMS as well as their effects and activation conditions, are available now at Capcom-Unity at http://www.capcom-unity.com/. This is the most up-to-date information we have, however some of these will be undergoing minor adjustments before going final.

To see an in-depth look at the exciting GEM system in motion, check out Capcom’s latest “X the Line” show here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfL7AL5WNjU

Street Fighter X Tekken delivers the ultimate tag team match up featuring iconic characters from each franchise, and one of the most robust character line ups in fighting game history. With the addition of new gameplay mechanics, the acclaimed fighting engine from Street Fighter IV has been refined to suit the needs of both Street Fighter and Tekken players alike.

Street Fighter X Tekken for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 launches in North America on March 6, 2012 and March 9, 2012 in Europe. More details on the PlayStation Vita and PC versions will be announced in the near future.

BLUE BOMBER BLASTS HIS WAY ONTO THE APP STORE IN MEGA MAN® X

SAN MATEO, Calif. — Dec. 21, 2011 — Capcom®, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today announced the Mega Man® X App is now available on the App Store for iPhone and iPod touch. The classic action game stars X, the final creation of Dr. Light, who must thwart the nefarious Sigma and his army of renegade reploid robots from destroying the human race. X utilizes a vast arsenal of weapons as he fights through multiple stages and faces off against powerful foes. The new version includes several powered-up features to enhance the action for iPhone and iPod touch including optimized graphics, difficulty options, rankings and more.

Mega Man X is better than ever with beautiful graphics that take advantage of the iPhone’s Retina display. The game can be displayed in Regular Format or in a Full Mode that utilizes the entire screen. An on-screen visual control pad and action buttons keep the game play fast and fluid. A customize option provides quick access to standard game setting changes and special iOS device-only cheat moves. These include auto-fire, auto-charge and auto-ladder latch-on which offer helpful shortcuts to aid players in progressing through the game. Also to help action game newcomers, an Easy Mode features added platforms that make level progression much more accessible, while Normal Mode allows more skilled gamers to enjoy the game in its true form.

With support for Game Center Leaderboards and Achievements, Mega Man X provides plenty of replay incentives.
Popular Sour Candy Characters to Star in Sweet New Action-Adventure Game

SAN MATEO, Calif. — November 30, 2011 — Capcom®, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today announced that it will publish World Gone Sour™ on Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®Network and PC. Based on the popular Sour Then Sweet® candy Sour Patch Kids®, the game will take players on a journey from the perspective of a lost piece of candy finding its way to its ultimate destination – the human stomach.

“Sour Patch® is the #1 all sour candy brand in the U.S. but there is so much more to these iconic characters than just their sour exteriors and sweet interiors,” said Sebastian Genesio, Marketing Director for Sour Patch. “Bringing our ‘lost kids’ to life in video game form will add a new dimension to these lovable snacks. We feel this video game will resonate strongly with our core audience of teens and young adults.”

“Sour Patch has brought its brand to life in a unique experience that only video games can deliver,” said Christian Svensson, Senior Vice President, Planning & Strategy, Capcom Entertainment, Inc. “Whether you’re a fan of Sour Patch Kids or fun and engaging gameplay, World Gone Sour has something for all gamers to enjoy.”

Gamers will take on the miniature role of a lost Sour Patch Kid in a stylized human-sized world, guiding the hero through the sticky floors of a movie theater, across the counter of a concession stand, and other unique and oversized environments. Joining forces with fellow lost Sour Patch Kids, players will use a combination of jumps, twists and puzzle-solving to negotiate and overcome larger than life obstacles. Along the way, they will battle unusual candy enemies, escape from deranged humans, and face-off against bizarre creatures including one very angry wad of sticky chewing gum.

Players will be able to team up with one friend for local co-op play. The console version will include support for global leaderboards, as well as Microsoft Achievements or PlayStation® trophies. World Gone Sour will be available this winter for $4.99 on PC and this spring on PlayStation®Network for $4.99 and on Xbox LIVE Arcade for 400 Microsoft Points.

In addition, the game will feature the recently released “World Gone Sour (The Lost Kids)” track from Grammy award-winning hip-hop artist Method Man. The journey of the Sour Patch Kids will include additional star personality with cheeky narrations by actor Creed Bratton (“The Office”), who will provide snack-sized quips and tidbits throughout the game.
