Alison Wright has been a gamer all of her life. She is passing on her love of gaming to her 2 young boys, even though her husband isn’t a gamer at all. Other than playing games and raising her boys she’s a blogger who loves to do reviews and giveaways.
I’m a huge fan of MMORPGs and RPGs and my oldest son loves to play on the Wii and Jumpstart on the PC. The whole family actually loves the Angry Birds on the iPad.
I am a SAHM of 3 busy girls. My Hubby works for PepsiCo as a Programmer so our home never wants for technology.:) As such, we all enjoy getting to play either alone or together on our Wii, on my daughter’s DSi or on the PC. I would have to say we love the Wii the best as it allows us to get some exercise while we can all play together.
I have a fun review and giveaway blog – 3Ps in a Pod – and my hubby and I love to review new and exciting games that are family appropriate like Mario Kart and Wii Fit Plus.
I’m the mom of a 6 year old daughter, and one new addition on the way. I work full-time and blog in my spare time. My daughter has grown up playing educational and entertaining games on consoles, PC, and handhelds, just like her Mama! I have a wonderful boyfriend who loves to play console games with us, making us a happy family of gamers. My current favorite games are The Sims 3 (PC), Mario Kart (Wii), and World of Warcraft (PC).

Motherhood…it’s a full of laughter and tears and surprises. It’s the most wonderful thing I’ve ever done. What started out as a way to chronicle my son’s first year of life has evolved into Rockin’ Mama. Because despite the fact that being a mom is the hardest thing I’ve ever done, it rocks! I’m a NICU nurse by day, blogger by night. My husband and I savor the warm Southern California sun. We love to travel…so much so that we spent 8 weeks backpacking Europe before moving to Edinburgh, Scotland where we found out I was pregnant with my son. My husband is an electrician by day and gamer by night (his favorites are hack n slash games & military war games). Our son who’s 9 has been turned into a heavy gamer with his dad and he enjoys the military & racing games. Our daughter is the typical tween who loves animal games along with Mario & sim like games. Me on the other hand love the Sim games, games like Cooking Mama, and exercise with my Wii. As a family we love Guitar Hero, the Mario games, and Wii sports.
Our favorite consoles? PS2 & PS3 for hubby & son, Wii & iTouch for girls and I most definitely.

Jenn of Momma D and Da Boyz is the SAHM of four sons ranging from age three to eleven. Add to that a husband who loves games and her house is constantly buzzing with the sounds of the Nintendo DSs or the Wii. Their favorite games include Mario Galaxy, De Blob and Just Dance. Although Jenn herself is still obsessed with Pikmin and Pikmin 2 with hopes that one day there will be a new one!
I am a married mother of 3 kids in each core age range; 17, 10 and 2 1/2 and we are a family of gamers. I ran a linkshell (clan) in Final Fantasy XI for 4 1/2 years and even hosted my members at many gatherings here in my hometown. I have to say that at this time my favorite full game console is the XBOX 360 and handheld is the DSi, although that is a heated debate among the other members of my family.
I am a SAHM to my 4 kids and love it. When not busy with the house, kids or my blog we love to play games. I currently love using my WII for working out although I do tend to favor my xbox 360 for actual games. My favorite game to play currently on the WII would be my EA sports active and on the xbox 360 is Call of Duty 2 Modern Warfare. We also have a couple DS’s and a PS3 but I can barely get near those for my husband and kids steal them all the time.
The Post-It Place is full of hard core gamers. From puzzles to 1st person shooter games…we cover them all. My personal favorite console is the Wii, my husbands is the PC, my sons is the XBox 360 and my daughters is probably the Wii. As you see we all like different genres and platforms.
We are a family of five living in paradise who love to play video games. Our favorite game is Animal Crossing for Wii and enjoy playing online with other family members around the island.
Karen @ 3 Garnets And 2 Sapphires
I am a wife to an avid gamer and mother to 3 young children. I have been blogging since March 2008. Although my site is pretty well-rounded, I am extremely excited to include more reviews of gaming products on my site. Currently, my favorite system would have to be the Wii. We only own a handful of games, but my favorite game thus far is “Party Pigs Farmyard Games”. It really keeps you moving and laughing all the way through.
Kimberly Ortiz @ Pretty Pink Momma
My name is Kimberly Ortiz and I am surrounded by boys on a daily basis so video games are part of the territory when raising boys. Or men, for that matter! My husband is an avid gamer and turned our boys into mini replicas of himself. I love video games too, but more of the sports or fighting related ones. We have a Wii, 2 DSi’s, a PS3, a PSP and we also love to download fun games to our blackberry’s. My personal favorites are the sports games for the Wii, mainly because we have so much fun as a family playing them together. I love sharing my fun finds on my blog, Pretty Pink Momma.
Lindsey @ Kindred Spirit Mommy
I’m a gamer mom, no doubt about it! I grew up with a Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and Nintendo 64, so I’m kind of loyal to my beloved Nintendo platforms and games. I love my Wii and regularly con my husband (a PS3 snob) into playing Tennis and MarioKart with me. I’m also sold on the Wii for fitness! EA Sports Active and EA Sports Active More Workouts are my absolute favorites.
Lisa’s love of video games started years ago with Atari and eventually the original Nintendo. Along with her first apartment she bought a N64. She has passed her love of video games on to all three of her boys who began playing on games from VTech or Leap Frog before they were 2. Now they’ve added DS, DSi and 3DS to their handheld gaming collection. And while Wii has been king for several years, this Nintendo loving family has recently added the Xbox 360 with Kinect to the game counsel options as well. (One dedicated 9 year old saved his pennies for the XBox 360. If that isn’t love of gaming, I don’t know what is.)
Although with all the gaming choices we have it may sound like we don’t do anything but play games. But as the boys are still young we monitor their game play closely and limit the time their are allowed. While I personally love puzzle type games (I still heart Tetris) I love games that allow us to play together and have fun family time, especially games that let us move while we play! And as a working mom who feels like she’s always running I love my iPad2 or my HTC phone and their apps for staying connected but also for entertaining the kids while we wait for soccer or baseball practice to be done.
I’m a mother of two, one boy and one girl. Each child was holding a game controller by the time they were 4 months old. So we are raising them to be gamers. My favorite game was Halo 3. I played it with my husband and we played it twice, once on medium and then again on hard. It was quite a bit of fun playing co op together. We love co-op games. I’m also a very logical person so I love playing word puzzle games and strategy games.
Realmsgamer.com is a site dedicated to games, gamers and gaming. Your host is Michael Vandegrift whose passion for gaming was born in 1978 when he learned to play Dungeons and Dragons. Since then his gaming journey has taken him far and wide with a dabbling in just about every aspect of the hobby. Along with his wife and three children he games everyday of his life and brings a great deal of experience to any game setting. Come have fun and game on!
We love games. Did I say that already? Not only do we have a Wii but we have two XBox360′s. And 2 DS’s. Why 2 360′s, you ask? The second is for the master bedroom for all the extra stuff it does – like streaming. We love computer games, too… we were on Doom when it was first released. (Yeah, we’re old.) And we were part of Asheron’s Call, a predecessor to World of Warcraft… which hubby and I also played. Oh yeah, we also have our old Nintendo (NES… the 1st one) set up for when we feel like going retro.
Who are we? Me… turning 40 in a few months. My husband who is a few years older than I am. My geek-in-training daughters who are 7 and 5. We play the Wii as a family and the kids are better than me at it!
My favorite game console (today) is the Wii. Don’t ask me what my favorite game is though because it changes constantly. I’m waiting for the old Coleco LadyBug game to come out for the Wii or XBox!
I am a mother, wife, and student. I have an amazing husband named Bryan who I’ve known since my early childhood, and our first date was rather geeky – online playing World of Warcraft. We have an amazing daughter named Zoey who learned how to play iPhone apps at 8 months old. I am a full time student studying to be a nurse. My favorite gaming console is most definitely the xBox 360, the competitions my husband and I get into while playing are the most hilarious moments I can ever recall. Asking me to pick a favorite game is very difficult, so I will just list a few… World of Warcraft, Modern Warfare, and any Final Fantasy (Although 7 was the best.)
I am a retired schoolteacher, mother of four and a grandmother of five. I love to play games on my Mac, especially puzzle and board games.
I am a SAHM of 3 children. My daughters are 18 and 14 and my son is 2 1/2.
My favorite game console has to be the Wii. There just seem to be more games available for this particular console that appeal to me. I love my Wii Fit, Wii Sport Resorts and games of that nature.
My husband and son favor the 360 the most and there isn’t a day that goes by that this gaming console isn’t turned on in our house. My son has recently been introduced to the Lego Indiana Jones 2 and feels that he has to play that every day! Hopefully we can expand on the Lego games for him since they are very age appropriate for him.
My husband on the other hand loves games such as Call of Duty, Halo 3 and Left 4 Dead 2. Those games are a challenge for him and he loves that especially playing live that it is different every time.
My 14 year old loves Wii but also really enjosy her Nintendo DS. She always has it handy and ready to pull out at any given moment that boredom may strike. Puzzle games and City Folk are a few that are currently being played.
My 18 year old hasn’t move past the traditional xbox. She really hasn’t played the Wii or the 360 that often and would rather play games on her computer than any gaming system. Sims has always been a favorite of hers.
I started blogging over a year ago and officially became “As They Grow Up” in December 2008. It has been an amazing experience and have been able to meet so many fantastic people!

I use a combination of media which consists of videos and photos to help personalize the reviews and articles. I feel that I do have a great loyal reader base and wonderful friends that have been established through my site.

We love to review products to give our readers the insight and knowledge before they buy. We have the Wii and the Wii Fit and absolutely love it.
Shasta @ Faithfully Frugal And Free
We are a military gaming family! We enjoy the our Wii because it has great family games. My boys love the DS because they can play it when we travel. Our favorite game is any Mario game! We have been known to have Mario marathon parties
I’m 30-something wife to a wonderful husband since November 1999 and mother of a hurricane of a boy born in July 2005. In addition to being a mother and wife, I also work as an Accounts Receivables Manager doing the billing for 3 companies, sell Avon, and just recently finished my Associates degree with a concentration in Accounting/Computer Information Systems.
We currently have the Wii and play several games on it, including Wii Fit, Wii Fit Plus, Wii Resort, two JumpStart games, and several others.
I’m Sheri, AKA Sam, and I’m the blogger behind Kidsumers (a play on the word ‘consumers’). I am the Mom to 3 boys and 1 girl, and our family is unique because the kids range in age from 3 to 19! In fact, this year I sent my oldest son to college and my youngest son to Junior Kindergarten in the same week! We love games, especially the Kinect, and I often write about them on my blog.
With the exception of Frogger, Stacie Haight Connerty never really got into games until she had children. Then she sort of became obsessed. It started with buying a DS for brain games and then kind of blew up from there.
She now runs The Toy Bloggers with her 12 year old nephew where they review everything fun for kids ages 0-100.
Her family plays games on PC, Mac, Wii, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, Nintendo Dsi and Nintendo 3D. Everyone plays Angry Birds but no one beats mama!
Stefany is a mom of many — 5 children already with another on the way! Between her, her husband, and her 5 children, there isn’t a single person in the family who doesn’t love gaming. Whether on the computer, the Nintendo Wii, X-Box 360, or their beloved DS, gaming occurs all the time! The 2 year old even knows how to use the Nintendo DSi! Stefany enjoys the Wii Fit most because she is a busy mom that likes to work out when she can! Stefany runs the blog ToBeThode where she (and her family) enjoy reviewing a number of products including games and apps.
Storm @ Confessions Of A Psychotic Housewife
Hi, my name is Storm, and I’m confessing: we’re gaming addicts! Seriously, I’m Storm, the Psychotic Housewife, wife to a great husband, and momma of one little girl. We have a lot of games and game consoles – we even have an original Nintendo, comes with games that we still play sometimes. My favorite console is the Wii, though I enjoy the PS3 too. My current game addiction is Super Mario Brothers on the Wii, though I’ll admit, I’m getting just excited as my husband is for God of War 3 to arrive in March.
I am a 30 somthing mom of a 7 year old daughter and a 30 somthing gamer, my husband! We love to play all lids of games.
Tammy @ Three Different Directions
Tammy is a homemaker, home educator, blogger and wife who loves to play video games, read, and watch movies (recently having become very excited over the extra content on Blu-ray!). When she is not educating, gaming, reading or watching movies at home, she’ll likely be doing them while traveling to an adventure spot with her family. She blogs primarily at www.threedifferentdirections.com about product reviews, and can even coerce her husband and 13 year old daughter to take on reviews if it involves gaming of some sort! Currently Tammy is loving the family Wii where she takes home the Turkey Prize in Wii Sports Bowling with fierce competition. When she isn’t swinging a nunchuck, she’s battling the Beasts of Northrend in World of Warcraft.
I’m a mother of two boys (three if you count the hubby). My favorite console is the Wii because it’s so interactive. I love Mario games and puzzle games. My youngest is 10 and has special needs, he adores the Wii, followed closely by the DS. My oldest is 14, he is amazing at most video games. His favorite console is the Xbox 360 and his favorite games are music and sports. RB’s favorite games are racing, fighting and some puzzles and he’ll play them anywhere he can.
Since we’ve got a team of reviewers of various ages and from all walks of life, I’d have to say that the answers of favorite game console and game would obviously vary from person to person. I think that right now, the favorite platform (at least THIS week) is PS3 because of it’s versatility.
