I am a SAHM of 3 busy girls. My Hubby works for PepsiCo as a Programmer so our home never wants for technology.:) As such, we all enjoy getting to play either alone or together on our Wii, on my daughter’s DSi or on the PC. I would have to say we love the Wii the best as it allows us to get some exercise while we can all play together.
I have a fun review and giveaway blog – 3Ps in a Pod – and my hubby and I love to review new and exciting games that are family appropriate like Mario Kart and Wii Fit Plus.
Amanda @ Confessions From Household6

My favorite console is the Wii and my current favorite game is Family Feud. My husband is 38, and his current favorite game is Modern Warfare 2 for the Xbox360, but he plays the Wii more. My 8 year old son loves the Wii and all of the Lego games. For his favorite game, it’s a tie between Lego Star Wars for the Wii, and Jedi Trials for the Didj. My 3 year old likes to play Mario Kart on the Wii when we allow it. We usually relegate him to the Leapster only since most games aren’t for 3 year olds. His favorite game on the Leapster2 is Go Diego Go

I am a married mother of 3 kids in each core age range; 17, 10 and 2 1/2 and we are a family of gamers. I ran a linkshell (clan) in Final Fantasy XI for 4 1/2 years and even hosted my members at many gatherings here in my hometown. I have to say that at this time my favorite full game console is the XBOX 360 and handheld is the DSi, although that is a heated debate among the other members of my family.
I am a SAHM to my 4 kids and love it. When not busy with the house, kids or my blog we love to play games. I currently love using my WII for working out although I do tend to favor my xbox 360 for actual games. My favorite game to play currently on the WII would be my EA sports active and on the xbox 360 is Call of Duty 2 Modern Warfare. We also have a couple DS’s and a PS3 but I can barely get near those for my husband and kids steal them all the time.
I am a mom, wife and blogger. My kids are teen/ tweens. I have a son (15) and husband that are what you may consider hard core gamers. I also have a 10 year old son that is into this handheld and Wii. My daughters (16 and 12) are more into social media. But are still interested in sim type games for their Linux computers.
I’m a mid-thirties working mom. I am married and have a 4-yr old son. We live in Orange County, CA. Karen @ 3 Garnets And 2 Sapphires
I am a wife to an avid gamer and mother to 3 young children. I have been blogging since March 2008. Although my site is pretty well-rounded, I am extremely excited to include more reviews of gaming products on my site. Currently, my favorite system would have to be the Wii. We only own a handful of games, but my favorite game thus far is “Party Pigs Farmyard Games”. It really keeps you moving and laughing all the way through.
Kasandria @ Southern Bella’s Ways To Save
I’m Kasandria. Owner of Southern BElla’s Ways To Save. We are a gaming family by heart and love to rock out to Guitar Hero on a daily basis. We have a 360, DS, and Wii.
I’m Kimberly, and I have 3 active kids with my husband, Brandon. We’re an active family, but in our downtime, we love to play video games, especially our new Wii.
Kimberly Ortiz @ Pretty Pink Momma
My name is Kimberly Ortiz and I am surrounded by boys on a daily basis so video games are part of the territory when raising boys. Or men, for that matter! My husband is an avid gamer and turned our boys into mini replicas of himself. I love video games too, but more of the sports or fighting related ones. We have a Wii, 2 DSi’s, a PS3, a PSP and we also love to download fun games to our blackberry’s. My personal favorites are the sports games for the Wii, mainly because we have so much fun as a family playing them together. I love sharing my fun finds on my blog, Pretty Pink Momma.
I am a sahm to 3 children (ages 5-11). My days are super busy with homeschooling and household duties. I hate to say this but YES, the nintendo DS helps me out tremendously. When I need to focus on one thing, the kids get to play. No, I’m not one of those moms that let them play all the time but HEY, a mom’s gotta do what a mom’s gotta do! HA!
My 35 year old husband is the main gamer in the house. His system of choice is probably the XBOX 360. His favorite types of games are role playing and multiplayer shooting games (Call of Duty)
The kids are addicted to Nintendo DS. Pokemon is a favorite along with the LEGO series.
Gaming plays a huge role in our household.
Lindsey @ Kindred Spirit Mommy
I’m a gamer mom, no doubt about it! I grew up with a Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and Nintendo 64, so I’m kind of loyal to my beloved Nintendo platforms and games. I love my Wii and regularly con my husband (a PS3 snob) into playing Tennis and MarioKart with me. I’m also sold on the Wii for fitness! EA Sports Active and EA Sports Active More Workouts are my absolute favorites.
I am a stay at home Canadian mom to six beautiful children ranging in age from 2 – 20. I am a grandma to one gorgeous little baby boy and a wife to one wonderful, hardworking husband.
My family currently has Wii, Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS. The Xbox 360 is a family favorite; family favorite games are Halo 2,and Halo 3. Right now the big one in the home is Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. My children enjoy games like Oblivion, Dragon Age, really anything Rpg. We always have time to rock out some great Rock Band too.
I myself really enjoy the Wii; I’m currently using it to help me lose weight. I use Wii fit, Ea Active and Personal Coach.
Hello my name is Lisa. I am a SAHM of two. I strive to give honest opinions on a variety of products. Money doesn’t grow on trees, knowing what to spend it on and what not to is a big help.
I’m a mother of two, one boy and one girl. Each child was holding a game controller by the time they were 4 months old. So we are raising them to be gamers. My favorite game was Halo 3. I played it with my husband and we played it twice, once on medium and then again on hard. It was quite a bit of fun playing co op together. We love co-op games. I’m also a very logical person so I love playing word puzzle games and strategy games.
Manda Peel is a happily married mother of one nine year old little boy. She and her family all enjoy playing video games both alone and together. It’s a toss up between the Wii and the Xbox 360 for the families favorite system. When she’s not “gaming it up”, Manda spends her time blogging and writing product reviews on her blog,’Manda Blogs About…
Not your average “mommy blogger”, I love to play XBox 360 and the Halo games. If I’m not taking care of my family, cooking, cleaning, or blogging, I am gaming! My husband loves to play, and we are pretty sure our son is going to be a gamer as well since he watches and knows who Master Chief is!
Aside from gaming and blogging, I love to be with my family, taking pictures, listening to music, and shopping!
Mandy is the author of the blog Mommy Cracked, a mom blog focusing on life and parenting in small town Mississippi. Married for 10 years, Mandy and her husband are raising their 5 year old son who has recently discovered how much fun video games are (in moderation, of course!). They love the Nintendo DS and also play many, many games on our Playstation 2 and desktop computer.
I am a 31 year old gamer who loves the Wii! When I’m not working at an electronics store keeping the music, movies and gaming department organized and stocked, I spend most Friday nights with friends playing XBox or Wii and having Mario or Rock Band competitions.
My favorite game right now is a tie between Animal Crossing and Super Mario Brothers Wii. Although I’m getting addicted to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare…now if I had an XBox I’d be set! I am also currently addicted to Words with Friends on my iPhone.
Michelle @ Flying Giggles And Lollipops
My name is Michelle, I am happily married and have two daughters. I have always loved gaming, dating back to my Atari I shared with my brother. My husband and I actually registered for an X-box many years ago when we got married. A few friends combined their money and crossed that item off the list for us. I am really loving the Wii, unfortunately, I am sharing it – with my brother. I get it during the week and he gets visitation on the weekends. My favorite types of games are definitely puzzle games, I guess Tetris got me hooked onto exercising my brain the fun way!
We love games. Did I say that already? Not only do we have a Wii but we have two XBox360’s. And 2 DS’s. Why 2 360’s, you ask? The second is for the master bedroom for all the extra stuff it does – like streaming. We love computer games, too… we were on Doom when it was first released. (Yeah, we’re old.) And we were part of Asheron’s Call, a predecessor to World of Warcraft… which hubby and I also played. Oh yeah, we also have our old Nintendo (NES… the 1st one) set up for when we feel like going retro.
Who are we? Me… turning 40 in a few months. My husband who is a few years older than I am. My geek-in-training daughters who are 7 and 5. We play the Wii as a family and the kids are better than me at it!
My favorite game console (today) is the Wii. Don’t ask me what my favorite game is though because it changes constantly. I’m waiting for the old Coleco LadyBug game to come out for the Wii or XBox!
I am a mother, wife, and student. I have an amazing husband named Bryan who I’ve known since my early childhood, and our first date was rather geeky – online playing World of Warcraft. We have an amazing daughter named Zoey who learned how to play iPhone apps at 8 months old. I am a full time student studying to be a nurse. My favorite gaming console is most definitely the xBox 360, the competitions my husband and I get into while playing are the most hilarious moments I can ever recall. Asking me to pick a favorite game is very difficult, so I will just list a few… World of Warcraft, Modern Warfare, and any Final Fantasy (Although 7 was the best.)
I am a retired schoolteacher, mother of four and a grandmother of five. I love to play games on my Mac, especially puzzle and board games.
Robyn – I love playing games – board games, card games, puzzle games, trivia games, etc. both in traditional format and video formats. I would say not a day goes by that I don’t play a game at least on the computer or my iPhone.
Brad (my husband) loves role playing games, shooter games (especially if there are zombies), any old-school games from the 80’s, and board & card games. He plays mostly on the Nintendo Wii these days.
Taylor (teenage son) loves video games, he plays on the Xbox 360 and PC the most and is very much into role playing and shooter games also. He isn’t into board games as much as I am, but he will play. Chess seems to be his favorite classic game.
I am a SAHM of 3 children. My daughters are 18 and 14 and my son is 2 1/2.
My favorite game console has to be the Wii. There just seem to be more games available for this particular console that appeal to me. I love my Wii Fit, Wii Sport Resorts and games of that nature.
My husband and son favor the 360 the most and there isn’t a day that goes by that this gaming console isn’t turned on in our house. My son has recently been introduced to the Lego Indiana Jones 2 and feels that he has to play that every day! Hopefully we can expand on the Lego games for him since they are very age appropriate for him.
My husband on the other hand loves games such as Call of Duty, Halo 3 and Left 4 Dead 2. Those games are a challenge for him and he loves that especially playing live that it is different every time.
My 14 year old loves Wii but also really enjosy her Nintendo DS. She always has it handy and ready to pull out at any given moment that boredom may strike. Puzzle games and City Folk are a few that are currently being played.
My 18 year old hasn’t move past the traditional xbox. She really hasn’t played the Wii or the 360 that often and would rather play games on her computer than any gaming system. Sims has always been a favorite of hers.
I started blogging over a year ago and officially became “As They Grow Up” in December 2008. It has been an amazing experience and have been able to meet so many fantastic people!

He mostly plays RPG’s and first person shooters, and survival horror games like the Resident Evil series. His favorite console is the XBox 360 and favorite game would be Final Fantasy VII on Playstation.
Our two boys are 8 and 6 and their biggest hobby besides school is doing whatever it is boys do outside and their games. Their favorite is their Wii and they love to play The Legend of Zelda series and Guitar Hero.
The guys of the house also are Halo addicts and play most games that are similar to it.

Storm @ Confessions Of A Psychotic Housewife
Hi, my name is Storm, and I’m confessing: we’re gaming addicts! Seriously, I’m Storm, the Psychotic Housewife, wife to a great husband, and momma of one little girl. We have a lot of games and game consoles – we even have an original Nintendo, comes with games that we still play sometimes. My favorite console is the Wii, though I enjoy the PS3 too. My current game addiction is Super Mario Brothers on the Wii, though I’ll admit, I’m getting just excited as my husband is for God of War 3 to arrive in March.
Tammy @ Three Different Directions
Tammy is a homemaker, home educator, blogger and wife who loves to play video games, read, and watch movies (recently having become very excited over the extra content on Blu-ray!). When she is not educating, gaming, reading or watching movies at home, she’ll likely be doing them while traveling to an adventure spot with her family. She blogs primarily at www.threedifferentdirections.com about product reviews, and can even coerce her husband and 13 year old daughter to take on reviews if it involves gaming of some sort! Currently Tammy is loving the family Wii where she takes home the Turkey Prize in Wii Sports Bowling with fierce competition. When she isn’t swinging a nunchuck, she’s battling the Beasts of Northrend in World of Warcraft.
I am a wife and stay at home mom of two children. We love our Wii because it allows us to be a little more active when it comes to playing video games. My current favorite game is Mario Bros.
I am a review blogger and owner of Bookroom Reviews. We enjoy playing games together. My husband and I enjoy trivia games and fitness and sports. The boys enjoy most anything else that is age appropriate. We have a baby, a six year old and a teenager so we can review all types. Our favorite console is the Wii.
As a stay at home mom with a family of five, I know all about smart shopping! My blog was created to help families cut down on their grocery and or other shopping needs through deals, freebies, coupons, reviews, budget-friendly recipe’s, and other great things that may be of use to shoppers looking for great deals.
Besides my blog I really enjoy playing video games with my family. I feel it’s fun and it allows us spend time while having fun. Our favorite game is the Wii so far as it allows us to get a good workout in the process.
I’m a mother of two boys (three if you count the hubby). My favorite console is the Wii because it’s so interactive. I love Mario games and puzzle games. My youngest is 10 and has special needs, he adores the Wii, followed closely by the DS. My oldest is 14, he is amazing at most video games. His favorite console is the Xbox 360 and his favorite games are music and sports. RB’s favorite games are racing, fighting and some puzzles and he’ll play them anywhere he can.
Since we’ve got a team of reviewers of various ages and from all walks of life, I’d have to say that the answers of favorite game console and game would obviously vary from person to person. I think that right now, the favorite platform (at least THIS week) is PS3 because of it’s versatility.
