GAME DESCRIPTION
MY NAME is a fun and educational spelling game developed by a mommy whose two young children are always reaching for her iPhone. Designed to teach preschoolers how to spell their name, this game jumbles colorful, animated letters of your child’s name and challenges them to select the letters in the correct order to earn a reward!
Game Features:
- Teaches both spelling and letter recognition with colorful letters and animated animal characters.
- Allows parents to enter up to four different names from which kids can choose. Enter a child’s first name, a middle name, and/or a last name. Enter family members’ or caretakers’ names. There are endless possibilities!
- Enter a name in ALL CAPS, all lowercase or both, allowing kids to learn spellings with lowercase and uppercase letters.
- Names can be added, deleted or edited as you please.
- Reward Screen: Kids are rewarded with a cookie jar that fills with 10 adorable animal crackers. In addition to rewarding their progress, the cookie jar teaches number recognition from 1 to 10. Let your kids shake the jar and they’ll love what happens!

Cherise @ Mama’s Money Savers – Okay first off this game is simple yet I can see the usefulness. I like how you can enter up to four names (so I could do Aidan’s first, middle, and last name or each of our first names). I do think though it is a challenge that when he sees the names on the first page (see first screenshot above) then he has to remember the spelling because when he goes to the next page he has to spell it. ….. This App would probably be helpful for kids learning to spell, as you could really put in spelling lists in four words at a time. It is not just for names, but really any words. The animal cracker jar is neat too as you earn them for correct spellings and each time one gets added. You can shake the jar to move them around or simply count them or just check out the different animals! Overall, I thought this App was cute ….. I can definitely see the possibilities with this App!
Jennifer @ The Dirty Shirt – I love this app for two reasons, one it is fun for my daughter to play, even though she doesn’t know how to spell her name yet. And two, well let me just say that she now knows how to spell the first 5 letters of her name and she can identify what those letters are. ….. I am thoroughly impressed with what she has accomplished with the My Name app and am loving that she is learning something that will stay with her the rest of her life! I HIGHLY recommend everyone get this app and help your child learn how to spell their name today, it is a great educational spelling app.
