Rodgers, Peterson, Vick, and Hillis In Contention to Win Coveted Honor of Madden NFL 12 Cover Athlete

Today, EA SPORTS and ESPN announced the final four NFL players advancing to the semifinals of the Madden NFL 12 Cover Vote campaign, hosted exclusively by ESPN.com and “SportsNation”. Players that are still in contention to appear on the cover of Madden NFL 12 include Aaron Rodgers (QB, Packers), Peyton Hillis (RB, Browns), Adrian Peterson (RB, Vikings), and Michael Vick (QB, Eagles). Over 10 million votes have been cast on ESPN.com’s “SportsNation” during the first three weeks of the Madden NFL 12 Cover Vote campaign (March 21 – April 11).

Key highlights during Round 3 voting:

· Largest voting differential:

§ 24%, Adrian Peterson (RB, Vikings) vs. Drew Brees (QB, Saints) – 62% vs. 38%

· Smallest voting differential:

§ 12%, Aaron Rodgers (QB, Packers) vs. Danny Woodhead (WR, Patriots) – 56% vs. 44%

· Two upsets occurred including:

§ No. 10 seed Peyton Hillis (RB, Browns) vs. No. 6 seed Jamaal Charles (RB, Chiefs)

§ No. 9 seed Adrian Peterson (RB, Vikings) vs. No. 4 seed Drew Brees (QB, Saints)

Round 4 voting is now open and fans can make their selections exclusively at www.ESPN.com/MaddenVote to determine which of the two NFL players advance in the Madden NFL 12 Cover Vote campaign. Fans can tune in to ESPN’s “SportsNation” every Monday at 4 pm Eastern throughout the campaign to see which players advance.

· Aaron Rodgers (56%) over Danny Woodhead (44%)

· Peyton Hillis (60%) over Jamaal Charles (40%)

· Adrian Peterson (62%) over Drew Brees (38%)

· Mike Vick (61%) over Patrick Willis (39%)
