New York – November 16, 2010 – The Rubik’s® Cube, the best-selling puzzle game of all time, is sporting a new “twist” for its 30th birthday. With the new addictive Rubik’s Slide™ electronic puzzle game and companion iDevice app from Techno Source, players can move the game’s face left, right, up, down and even twist it to slide the lights and solve the puzzle.
Beginning today, the Rubik’s Slide app is available from iTunes for download onto iPhones, iPod Touches, and iPads. Developed in conjunction with LeftRight Studios, the app combines casual gaming with the speed and strategy of classic cubing. Like the handheld version, the Rubik’s Slide app features more than 10,000 brain-busting puzzles.

How to play
The Rubik’s Slide app combines the simplicity and fun of casual games with fast-paced, brain-busting cubing. The object of each puzzle is to simply match the light pattern by twisting, turning, and sliding the face of the puzzle. Players begin each puzzle by touching and holding down the Check button to see the solution. Players can slide up, down, left or right by swiping in that direction on the face of the puzzle, and twist clockwise or counterclockwise by swiping on any of the four corners of the puzzle.
If the player gets stuck, touching the Restart button will reset the puzzle. Players can also simply tap the In Game Help for a quick reminder on how to play. For a more detailed walkthrough, there is an interactive tutorial and tips and tricks in the Help section of the main menu.
The app is appropriate for players ages 8 and up, and can be downloaded to your iTunes library for the special launch price of $2.99.
Three modes of play
The Rubik’s Slide app has three exciting game modes with three levels of difficulty – easy, medium and hard.
* Countdown lets you race against the clock. Solve 20 puzzles before time runs out to boost your score.
* Free Play is infinite brain training fun to keep your neurons firing. With over 10,000 puzzles, see how many you can solve.
* Lightning Round puts your finger speed to the test. Solve an assortment of 10 puzzles ranging from easy to hard as fast as you can to top the leaderboard.
Think you have what it takes?
Players can share their progress through the 10,000 puzzles and compete with friends by posting scores on the user status wall or find new friends to challenge on the MogiMe gaming network powered by LeftRight Studios. Players can even post directly to their Facebook wall and Twitter feed to dare friends and followers to beat their high score.
