Namco Networks Brings Learn to Fly to Mobile

Penguins Really Can Fly!

SAN JOSE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Namco Networks, a leading publisher and developer of mobile games and interactive entertainment for mass-market casual gamers, today announced the availability of Learn to Fly on mobile devices.

In Learn to Fly, players assume the role of an enterprising penguin who wants to show the world that its species isn’t gravity bound. Players face five different slopes of increasing height, with the goal of staying airborne as long as possible. To advance, the penguin must meet three of the four achievements on each ramp: maximum speed, highest altitude, distance traveled and flight time. While honing in on how to be a successful flyer, in-game money is earned that can be used to purchase upgrades, such as gliders, rockets and fuel.

According to the Senior Director of Production and Deployment, Rob Schoeppe, “With more than 5 million plays on the Flash version of Learn to Fly, we were excited to bring this addictive penguin-loving phenomenon to an even larger demographic. Once players insert themselves as the penguin, it becomes extremely difficult to put the game down.”

Accessible through all major U.S. carriers, Learn to Fly is available on J2ME, Brew, Windows Mobile, RIM and Android. To learn more about Namco and its games, please visit www.namcogames.com or NAMCO GAMES on Facebook.
