GAME DESCRIPTION

Wizard101 is an online, multiplayer, Wizard school adventure game with collectible card magic, wizard duels, and far off worlds! The game allows players to create a student Wizard in an attempt to save Wizard City and explore many different worlds.

Designed for pre-teens and attracting a wider audience of families and traditional gamers, Wizard101 features magical adventure and card style gameplay. Players enroll in the Ravenwood School of Magical Arts and begin a course of spell study. Immediately upon arrival at Wizard School they are tapped by the Headmaster to help save the school from a renegade teacher who has disappeared but who seems to be behind some mysterious happenings.

Wizard101 features include:

• Extensive magical 3D worlds, each with its own creative theme such as a feudal countryside run by Samoorai cows, or an ancient Egyptian-inspired land where the treasured relics are being carted off by dogs from another world.
• More than 101 collectible spells that come to cinematic life as players learn to summon creatures such as Ninja Pigs and a Leprechaun that slides in on a rainbow and showers opponents with gold.
• Seven different schools of Magic, each with its own unique style and gameplay experience.
• The ability to adopt magical pets, like a flying dragon or a mischievous imp.
• A wide variety of outfits and accessories for customizable Wizard avatars.
• Puzzles and mini-games that challenge players and provide a place to rest and rejuvenate after duels.

Wizard101’s collaborative play style supports an environment where players benefit from working together in adventure quests and lower level characters can play alongside higher level ones. A three-tiered chat system and pre-defined character name generator create a safe community for younger players. The game contains no blood, and characters don’t die if they are defeated in a duel of spells—they simply go to a safe area on campus to regain health. An Arena provides a spot for more traditional gamers to show off their player versus player spell-casting skills.

Wizard101 is Free to Play! Wizards can complete Wizard City and explore far off worlds with a Subscription or individual areas can be unlocked forever with “Pay-by-Area”.

Henrietta @ A Hen’s Nest –  “The first time I played I ended up playing the whole time the kids were at school. Not good for housework but a ton of fun! The quests get me! Every time I think to myself “oh, I’ll just finish this last quest”, I find another one in the middle of it, or I finish one and the next quest sounds like fun so I keep going. The colorful graphics stand out and the landscapes are whimsical and enchanting. Dueling isn’t boring like some other games I’ve played because the visual effects are very entertaining. …The tutorial! That is another very nice feature of the game. … another very useful and must have feature for any game I allow the kids to play is Parental Controls. …I would say that the award winning Wizard 101 is the best wizard game I’ve found for my children and I to play online together.”

Lindsey @ Kindred Spirit Mommy – “When you create your character, you choose a primary school of magic (Fire, Ice, Storm, etc) – and each one has its own strengths. This gives the game a major boost in replayability since you can change things up with your next characters…. The special effects while dueling are fantastic! I was totally thrilled by the scenes and love watching the duels. …I was relieved to find that the controls are easy to learn. …I was pleased to find that there aren’t any revealing costumes and that there isn’t any “adult” humor to shake my head at or hope my child didn’t see/hear. It is a very decent and clean game. … in my opinion, it is worth the money, and it’s a good deal (according to my husband, who would definitely know). Wizard101 is an addictive, fun-filled online multiplayer wizard game that I think you and your children will enjoy. Wizard101 is a lot of fun, and a great alternative to many of the game system games that are SO spendy – the ones your child will be bored of after a week.”
